MINT- could have literally just been removed from it's original packaging. No damage, no wear, no fading, no imperfections.
NEAR MINT - No significant scuffs, wear, or marks. Possibly minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. All but the most finicky colletoers would be happy to own an item in this condition.
VERY GOOD - No physical damage to item, but possible fading/discoloration in spots. Severe imperfections (example: someone's name written in permanent marketer) as described.
GOOD - Has a general "handled" look to it (possible discoloration/fading, scratches, scuffs, etc.), but has no physical damage. CD/DVD's classified as "good" may be resurfaced.
FAIR - May have physical damage, but still functions properly. May be severely discolored/faded, label may be damaged or missing entirely, etc.. Not for collectors, should only be purchased for the purpose of playing.
NEEDS REPAIR- Does not function properly - flaw(s) described.
