Get Console & Cheats: Edit the "baldur.ini" file in the game's folder using a text editor like notepad. Add the line "Debug Mode=1" under the "[Program Options]" heading. Begin game play and press Ctrl + Space to show the console window. Now input one of the case sensitive codes below then press ENTER then press Ctrl + Space to close the window. Walk around near the north wall, and a secret door will be revealed. Do not enter. Firstly, cast Non-Detection on a character, or give them the Cloak of Non-Detection. Then cast Improved Invisibility on them. Get that character to head down through the secret door. Open the chest next to the lich, and take the sword. Don't worry if the lich casts time stop, as he can't do anything. Head back up, and identify the sword. It is Daystar, magical longsword. Get your characters to surround the secret door. Give it to someone the invisible character, then get them to go down to the lich. Run up next to the lich, and use Daystar's Sunray ability. It will do massive amounts of damage. Then, just stand there, hacking away at the lich. Vouila! Instant 22,000 xp, some nice items, one of the most useful swords in the game, and without any party members getting hurt. Infinite flame arrows: In the D'Arnise Hold area, go up to Captain Arat. Talk to him, and he will give you flame arrows. Then, talk to him again, using the command string 3,3. He will give you more flame arrows. Continue, and replace all your arrows with flame ones, or sell them to get more money. But be careful, as he leaves FOREVER after the Hold is liberated. All attributes set to 18: note: I have found this cheat only works after enabling the console by editing the .ini file, when creating a new character hold Ctrl+Shift+8 key on the roll for attributes screen this should set them all to 18. Other Cheat keys: Here are some other Cheat Keys for BG2. NOTE: require console/cheats in game on and running! List of keys: ctrl+y = The death of that person. ctrl+4 = Shows all traps/stairs/door's ctrl+j = Takes the selected person to that area of map. ctrl+a = change action ctrl+s does selected action. ctrl+5/6 5= screen goes blank on map 6=screen comes back. thats all i know Priest Scroll: Cure Critical Wounds: By using the 'Spawn Items' cheat, enter scrl61 as the item you want to be spawned. It'll give you the priest scroll "Cure Critical Wounds". Only Priests can use it. You can spawn mutliple of this item, and for ALL scrolls, you can set the number you want spawned for 9999, with exactly 4 nines, and that scroll will appear in your inventory with that many items..I submit that one because I am unsure if others know this neat little trick. Also, a tip: If you're a mage of any profession, or a sorcerer, I suggest you spawn 9999 of some of your favorite scrolls and use them in your quick item slot to cast. It'll prove worthwhile!(Note that the '9999' trick also works with all wands, giving you 9999 charges in the wand you spawn..and just one more thing..I want to see the animal summoning priest scrolls in the item spawn section!!!) Move instantly to any area: Once the debug mode has been activated using the baldur.ini file, bring up the console with ctrl+space and type in CLUAConsole:MoveToArea(~AR****~) Where **** is is the number of the area.
