Ive decided to try out selling some bags of paydirt.
A hobby of mine is mine exploration, and ive recently been given access to a Southern California Tourmaline mine, it was an active mine from the early 1900s. A proven, producing, tourmaline mine in a world class district
What i am offering is 10 pound bags of mine ore, scooped into sandbags. The scoops come only from in and under and around pockets where tourmaline deposits are in this mine
I do not salt my paydirt bags like other sellers seem to do- what you will get is beautiful enough! The minerals you will find include:
- Kunzite: First discovered in this district, this is a purple-lilac variety of spodumene.
- Morganite: A pink to peach-colored beryl.
- Other Beryl/Gemstones: Aquamarine and occasionally green beryl.
- Mineral Species: The pegmatite pockets contain quartz (white, smoky, and rose), lepidolite (lithium mica), albite, orthoclase, and microcline.
Every bag is going to have all of these minerals, most likely. Again, no guarantees because i do not decide what Mother Earth deposits, or where!
So, once you get rhis paydirt, it has to be screened, rinsed, and then what you will have are some stunning specimens. Ranging in size from 1/8" to 3-4" there is some sand, thats just part of the ore collecting process. The sand and tiny gravel makes for a beautiful and sparkly addition to any garden!
The included pics show some of the actual sample bags i have collected, you are looking at a 10 pound lot. Thats about 2 shovel scoops. I scoop it into the bag at one of the pockets deep in the mine, scoop it from the bag into your bag. These bags are not pre looked thru by me, or anyone. I definately do not need to be sneaky like that. Some of the last pics are of boulder sized pieces from my personal collection that came from the exact location as these paydirt bags. Within 10 yards of this paydirt they were found
