MARIA Statue / Model based on the "False Maria Robot" from the stunning 1927 Silent Film "METROPOLIS" by famed German Director Fritz Lang. This is a spectacular and rare issue of the MARIA figure made in Japan by Masudaya. It was issued in 1985 to coincide the release restoration of the classic black and white film by Georgio Moroder.
This Metropolis Maria is a vinyl display statue, standing 16 inches tall (1/5 scale). The figure features 10 working points of articulation - neck, waist, knees, and three points in each There are 2 metal support posts to hold the figure up. The base has a "Metropolis" Logo.
There are 2 lights at the bottom that illuminatethe figure. The box is in fair condition and contains all the original packing materials. The battery compartment has some corrosion. The figure and base are in excellent condition.
