Published in Paris, these legendary, highly theatrical stereographs showcase detailed, hand-sculpted clay dioramas depicting satirical daily life and celebrations in Hell.This 2-card lot includes:
- Card 1 (The Banquet): Likely the famous \"Un Banquet Infernal\" tableau. It features a fantastic gothic assembly hall populated by dozens of skeletons drinking and carousing around a formal feast table beneath an ornate chandelier. Note the prominent sculpted bat motif hanging directly above the double doors in the background.
