This one was earned the hard way.
This is not just a vintage patch — it is one I personally earned, just like my other Activision High-Score Club patches.
In the early 1980s, Activision didn’t just create some of the most memorable games for the Atari 2600 — they created one of the first ways players could prove their skills and earn physical recognition.
Reach a qualifying score, take a Polaroid photo of the screen, mail it to Activision, and weeks later a colorful embroidered patch would arrive. It was official recognition that you had the skill, dedication, and persistence to join the club.
This is the Activision “Chopper Commandos” High-Score Club patch, associated with the classic Atari 2600 game Chopper Command.
