Thanks for stopping in to see this lovely lidded jar for ginger or tea from the late 1890s to 1910s era Japan. Its copper based with a brass rim with a scalloped floral border of the era. There are tiny pinholes in the enamel showing age and time passing. the inside is a dark turquoise and the knob on tim has openwork details. There is some oxidation and some pitting and a little wear to it so I really tried to get all sorts of photos so you know just the exact age, use, size, look and feel from every angle.
