Beautiful 19th Century (early to mid 1800s) glove box. The entire box is burled wood with ebonized finish. The top is completely inlaid.
Brass lock with key on the front panel. However the box does NOT lock. I don't know if it is the locking mechanism or an incorrect key.
The entire interior is padded and tufted in silk and is in excellent condition. The hinges are all in very good condition.
