Boehm Porcelain "Falcon Head" — Treasures of Tutankhamun Bicentennial Series, TC8 #528

A genuineBoehm Porcelainpiece from the officially licensedTreasures of Tutankhamuncommemorative line, produced to mark the U.S. Bicentennial tour of the exhibition (1976–1979). Made under license from the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, and issued in cooperation with the six U.S. hosting museums: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Field Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, Seattle Art Museum, and the National Gallery of Art.

This piece, designated"Falcon Head," model TC8, edition number 528, depicts the falcon-headed godHorus, gilded and hand-detailed with inset eyes, a cobra (uraeus) at the brow, and the tall openwork double-plume crown associated with Horus and Amun in ancient Egyptian iconography. The head is mounted on a black lacquered wood base.

The full maker's backstamp is present on the underside of the base, confirming authenticity, edition, and number — shown in photos.

Condition:Very good — bright gilt finish, intact enamel color at the collar, inset eyes secure, no chips or losses noted to the crown or base. Please review all photos closely.
