Carousel Horse by Alan Herschel. Half Wood and half Cast Aluminum:

This carousel horse was produced by the Allen Herschel company between 1926 and 1935. The body is carved wood, the head, tail, and legs are cast aluminum. It's unusual because it has a blanket instead of a saddle. It was beautifully restored by Avis and Tony Erickson of Rochester Minnesota.
