No place of publication or publisher is listed, nor is a publication date, but certainly American and during the early 1960s for the Centennial.
An engaging set of reproductions of Civil War-era Currier & Ives prints illustrating battles. Eight portfolios were published, with different prints in each one. This set consists of- Storming Fort Donelson; Battle of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; the Cumberland vs. the Merrimac; Monitor vs. the Merrimac; Battle of Newbern, North Carolina; Bombardment of Island No. 10.
Six prints in a paper portfolio. 11x15, 6 loose prints. The portfolio has some light soil and wear along the left side, and some small losses along the fold. The prints are clean and nice.
PLEASE NOTE: These are not engravings, even though the publisher\'s title says they are. Put it down as a bit of purple prose for commercial impact. Or they just didn\'t know what an engraving was. Either way, these are not.
SHIPPING NOTES: Shipping charges for books are based on the weight, when packed, of each package -we offer “combined shipping charges” for orders for more than one book. If you buy more than one item please ask us to send a revised invoice before you pay.
