The Game
Front Page Sports: Football Pro '98 features two main playing modes: In the simulation mode the player takes the seat of the team manager and deals with drafting, match lineups and tactics. During the carrier he can play several seasons and his players improve their abilities when they get more experienced or slow down when they grow older. Although the player still controls the football players on the field this mode is more reminiscent of a managerial simulation. In the action mode this managerial duties aren't important and the player can concentrate on the matches.
The biggest enhancement is global: The interface has been totally revamped, and the good news is that it's much easier to use than before. Instead of forcing you to clunk through a "quick start setup" just to play an exhibition game, for example, FPS: FP '98 now takes you immediately to team selection and setup screens for every outing. Team and league menus are modular, with buttons always present for every function - you can skip from the league schedule screen to your team's front office menu with just a couple of mouse clicks.
Note: My compatibility CD does not alter the retail game or bypass copy protection. It allows the original media to install and run correctly on any recent version of Windows.
