The Friends of the Library Southport & Oak Island (FOLSOI) is a southeastern North Carolina based non-profit organization that champions the Harper and Barbee Libraries through advocacy and financial support, ensuring they provide the facilities, programs and resources to engage and enrich our community.
FOLSOI raises money for upgrades to book collections, equipment, and facilities, and its volunteers sponsor educational and cultural programs to engage library patrons of all ages.
FOLSOI’s vision is to be a key partner in creating welcoming, innovative libraries that fuel learning, foster connection and serve as a vital resource.
