2 antique handcrafted copper kettles made in Sweden for use on the hearth. Both have tin linings. Both have been washed with hot water & dish soap.
The smaller of the two has a greenish patina with a handle that is stamped with the initials C.J.E. The spout has a flap over it. Yes, it could be polished to be bright and shiny copper but I love how it really shows its age with this patina. From the mid to late 1800’s.
The larger kettle has a tubular iron handle for pouring as well as 3 iron legs. The legs and handle are riveted with copper rivets. The legs were for placing the kettle directly in the hearth over the wood coals. Once heated you could grab the tubular handle with a pot holder & pour. It has a nice chocolate patina. Again, it could be polished but it looks so good as is.
Both will be bubble wrapped & securely packed in a box for shipping.
