Navy War Heroes # 1, first issue, Silver Age, January 1964, vintage book, Charlton Comics.Grade 3.0 by CGC standards - A collectible that shows significant evidence of handling with several moderate -to- major defects.
A very nice book with nice pages and color. The main issue's I find with this gem is there is some wrinkling to the cover and some small writing in pencil on the cover. A spine roll and a detachment to one of the staples in the center of the book. Also some rust to the staples as seen in photo # 9 **Please review and enlarge the photos so you will be happy with your purchase.**
I try to grade on the lower side to avoid any disappointment. The first issue of this vintage run is getting harder to find. Especially at the fair price that I feel I am listing this classic for.
Guaranteed to go up in value and makes a great present for your father or Grandfather who is a United States Navy veteran. I had given this book to my father who I am proud to say was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. My sister gave it back to me upon his passing. Makes a great read with some interesting stories. I'm not a big-time seller; I do my best to keep my prices reasonable and make a few bucks till my next Social Security check arrives.I've purchased MANY more items than I have sold over the years. So I understand the feeling of finding a great item, at a great price, with fast well packaged shipping, and also receiving great overall service.
I'll combine shipping on my other items if you're interested. I have other DC Comics and DC Comics memorabilia listed if you'd like to take a look.
Your Silver Age Charlton Comics Navy War Heroes issue #1 will ship well protected, the day after payment, at a charge of $8.20 via the USPS Postal Service. Comic books are not allowed to be mailed via media mail. ~ I only sell and ship to the U.S.A. ~Check my response (Over 800 items sold, that took me 25 years to get to that amount) to know you will not be disappointed.
