I recently acquired s couple collections of authentic Disney Parks-used items and costumes, and I’ll be listing a number of these pieces in the coming days.
Offered here is a fantastic piece of Walt Disney World attraction history: an original gold bar prop from Pirates of the Caribbean.
According to the individual from whom I acquired this piece, the gold bar was obtained directly during the refurbishment of the attraction when Captain Jack Sparrow was incorporated into the ride. It was used in the latter portion of the attraction as part of the treasure room scene.
This is a wonderful opportunity to own a physical piece associated with one of Walt Disney World’s most iconic and beloved attractions.
The display itself features gold coins and gems but those are NOT from the ride and were only used to enhance the display.
As would be expected from a prop that was actually used within the attraction and later removed during refurbishment, the gold bar shows cosmetic wear consistent with its history, including dents, scratches, scuffs, and other signs of use and removal. These imperfections are part of the piece’s history and should be considered when purchasing. Please carefully review all photographs for the exact condition.
Since this was acquired by an employee working in the Central Shops, this doesn’t have any COA.
