The is a listing for a polished blue/ grey, orange, red, yellow and peach petrified rainbow wood end slab from Holbrook Arizona. You can see the growth ring under a glass like polish.
It is hard to photographed as the camera focuses on the reflection on the surface instead of the petrified wood.
I hand selected rough material from a 2nd generation rock store owner\'s private collection. He had hand selected it himself, 20 years ago from a ranch adjacent to the \" rainbow \" Petrified forest. I selected this specimen for its vibrant red and blue colors.
It was a rough branch (that is now a self-standing display in my store) that I slabbed in my Colorado workshop. The vividly colored blue is surrounded by oranges. It is lined by wood grained pattern where the edge of the bark ends.
A great addition to a rock display or a great first piece for a beginner getting their first specimen. It is great teacheing tool for a science lesson plan. And it makes a perfect gift for someone intrested in natrual history of natural beauty.
I have more slabs with different patterns from the same host as well as the display of the host branch in my store
