A rare and New, historically significant matched writing set from 1989, produced by Waterman Paris to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution (Bicentenaire de la Révolution Française, 1789–1989). This appears to be a dual commemorative corporate commission — the barrels are engraved "100 Jahre Allianz" (100 Years of Allianz), identifying these as a prestige gift set created for the German insurance giant Allianz during their own centennial year, making this set exceptionally rare.
