Rare German original ring (TIGER / Pz.VI)
A unique, one-of-a-kind collectible artifact from World War II with an iconic tank design. The ring was handcrafted directly at the front (or custom-made by a front-line craftsman) and belonged to a crew member or technical personnel from a heavy tank unit. The main and undeniable value of this item is the deep hand-engraved inscription on the inside of the shield:• "TIGER" is a direct reference to the legendary German heavy tank "Tiger."• "Pz VI" is the official troop designation of the vehicle (Panzerkampfwagen VI).Items with the abbreviations of heavy tank battalions (schwere Panzer-Abteilung) or the specific names of "Tigers" are a rare segment of trench art.
• Front: Made in a brutal geometric shape with beveled edges. The ring is carved with deep wedge-shaped rays or stylized arrows converging toward the center, giving it a menacing and laconic appearance.• The ring has a metal texture characteristic of dug-up or long-stored items ("earthy" or "attic" tan) and a deep, dark patina, which perfectly highlights its originality and authenticity. The ring's shape has been slightly deformed by age, which only adds to the ring's wartime ambiance. The metal is dense and covered with an original patina.
• Collector's condition, "from the trail of history." The inscription on the inside is completely and clearly legible. The metal is strong, without cracks or through-holes. No modern cleaning, acidification, or restoration has been performed—the lot is sold in its original, authentic condition.
