🇺🇲 United States M25 Tank Protective Mask dated the third week of October 1963 size medium by MSA mold 2D9 lot 2021-52-23. The M25 Tank Protective Mask is a modified M14A2 Tank Protective Mask with added Lens snap mounts for the M2 Antiglare and M4 Winterization outsert. The M25 was adopted in 1962 and was subsequently upgraded as the M25A1 mask in 1963, with the M25A1 modifying the bottom left and right straps by removing the older Style of metal buckles in favor of a straight style of rubber straps. This mask features a Class B Grey rubber outlet cover dated the last week of December 1956 by Acushnet, mold number 1C7. The M25 features a solidly molded Black Natural rubber E56R4 facepiece, Glued in urethane eyepiece, C8R1 or C15 head harness, Permanently affixed C11 oral-nasal cup assembly, M-116/G Dynamic Microphone, M7 nylon breathing hose, M10A2 Canister (M10A1 without coupling) with an M9 filter sling, marked M25 on this example, and an M13 or M13A1 carrier restamped M25 from M14A2. The M25 is ungodly rare as the A1 was produced only a year after and featured much better production quality, leading to the A1 seeing full-scale adoption.
