Within the United States Secret Service, specialized capabilities extend well beyond the protective formations most familiar to the public. HAMMER, the Hazardous Agent Mitigation Medical Emergency Response capability, represents the intersection of hazardous-agent response, emergency medicine, and the specialized support required for high-level protective operations. This coin brings that highly specialized identity together with the Secret Serviceβs Special Operations Division in an unusually detailed dual-sided design.
One side centers the recognizable Secret Service star badge and the agency motto Worthy of Trust and Confidence, positioned over a vertical blade and surrounded by branching relief. UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE and SPECIAL OPERATIONS DIVISION identify the organization around the perimeter, while deep dark-red enamel creates strong contrast behind the antiqued metalwork.
The opposite side is dominated by the word HAMMER above aggressive raised imagery incorporating a skull, serpent, hammer, and specialized tactical tool.
