VINTAGE ANTIQUE CROSLEY OF CANADA CATHEDRAL STYLE RADIO,RESTORED,WORKS:
$150.00
Up for sale is this striking vintage tune radio from Crosley of Canada. I can’t find a lot about this set or this company but there was apparently a DeForest-Crosley radio company in Toronto during the 1930s. The label on the back reads model J31, and the date on the label is 1932. The tube lineup and the loop antenna seem to point more towards the late 1930s, before Canada entered WW II with Great Britain. The cabinet is beautiful, reminiscent of a cathedral radio of the early 30s. All tubes tested good, capacitors replaced with their modern equivalents. Sounds great across the AM band. Picks up SW too. Weighs 6.5 pounds (unpacked). Measures 16 inches by 7 inches by 9.5 inches.
