Vietcong: Purple Haze PC CIB (2004, Gathering) with Fist Alpha Mission Pack For Sale

Pterodon and Illusion Softworks developed Vietcong: Purple Haze as a standalone expansion to the original Vietcong, bundling the previously released Fist Alpha mission pack alongside new content and a licensed 1960s soundtrack featuring Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Deep Purple, and The Standells. The same Czech studio behind Mafia and Hidden and Dangerous brought a gritty authenticity to jungle warfare that set this series apart from its contemporaries.

This copy retains its original CompUSA receipt sticker dated 1/8/04, placing it at launch window. All discs grade like new with no visible scratches. Both the Purple Haze and Fist Alpha manuals are present. The box shows light shelf wear consistent with storage. Big box PC releases from this era disappear fast in complete, disc-clean condition, and this one carries solid provenance as a genuine day-one retail copy.
