Vintage 1940s Texaco Gas Station Attendant Photo - Wearing Sunglasses & Uniform - Hamilton, OhioDescription:
Up for sale is an original vintage late 1930s to early 1940s black-and-white vernacular snapshot from a family archive out of Hamilton, Ohio. This incredibly stylish candid portrait features the same smiling young Texaco service station employee seen throughout my listings. He is pictured inside a service bay leaning over a classic pre-war automobile while sporting a great pair of vintage aviator-style sunglasses. His dark mechanic or service jacket cleanly displays the iconic round Texaco star logo emblem patch over his chest. Large industrial multi-pane windows fill the background, giving a fantastic look into mid-century garage operations. The reverse side is printed on vintage \"VELOX\" paper and features a pink photofinisher processing stamp that reads \"607\". An absolute premium crossover piece for collectors of vintage Texaco petroliana, classic car garage ephemera, or unique character-rich vernacular photography!Measurements:
- Photo Size: 4 1/4\" x 3 1/4\"
Condition Notes:
Good vintage condition overall. The front image displays rich blacks and excellent contrast. As noted on the storage folder, the focus has a slight softness or minor motion blur as shot originally, but it doesn\'t distract from the excellent composition and subject framing. The reverse side is exceptionally clean with no old scrapbook tearing or heavy glue residue. Please see all photos for a detailed look at the edges.Ships safely. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
