Vintage Framed Chinese-Style Paper Cut Goldfish Artwork – Asian Folk Art
Beautiful and intricately detailed vintage paper-cut artwork featuring two graceful goldfish surrounded by aquatic plants and decorative geometric cutwork.
The delicate cream-colored cutwork is dramatically displayed against a deep black background and framed with a fine gold accent border. The design has the elegant appearance associated with traditional Chinese paper-cut folk art and makes a striking decorative piece for an Asian-inspired, Chinoiserie, eclectic, traditional, or collected interior.
The goldfish motif is especially appealing in Asian decorative art, where fish are traditionally associated with prosperity and abundance.
The piece has been professionally framed under glass in a simple black frame. The reverse retains its original Turner Framing Inc. label from Great Falls/Falls Church, Virginia.
