Vintage Larry DeLuz (1948-2008) Signed Small 2.75" Tall Hand Carved Hawaiian Koa Wooden Bowl. LARRY DE LUZ Died in Hilo on February 29, 2008, at age 60. A native of Paauilo, Hawaii, Mr. DeLuz grew up in San Leandro, moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, where he has resided over 40 years. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Vietnam. As an artist of traditional Hawaiian bowls and proprietor of Larry’s Koa Carving, his work could be found at numerous art galleries on islands of Hawaii. Burial in Hilo with full military honors.
