Very nice restored H. EICKER & SOHNE - PAX - 196 straight razor. Razor has been cleaned, polished, honed and waxed and is shave ready. Blade is very nice, but does have some residual spots on both sides of blade. Mostly on front side. Was able to save gold etching on front side of blade. See pics for details. Light hone wear. Blade was finished on a vintage Thuringian hone using one layer of tape on spine.
Blade width measures at over 7/8ths.Razor length is 6 3/4 inches.Blade grind is a full hollow.Jimps on bottom side of shank.
Front side of shank is stamped - PAX - 196 - 7/8. Back side is stamped - H. EICKER & SOHNE - SOLINGEN GERMANY - PAX. Front of blade is also stamped - HIGH CLASS.
Scales are original FAUX IVORY CELLULOID In good condition with a few nicks and scratches. Also a small amount of warping. See pics for details. Pins are tight and blade closes fine.
