Vintage LIMOGES France Porcelain Hinged Lid TRINKET JAR Midnight Blue GOLD THISTLES
Size 3.5\" high with a 1.75\" diameter round opening at top, 8.5\" circumference around widest [shoulder]
Features snowy white porcelain with a high-shine glaze and a beautiful banded pattern around center. Center pattern is a deep midnight blue, so blue it almost looks black. Through the blue banding is an elegant swirled design of thistles with leaves and bloom heads.
Above the blue is a laurel leaf banded pattern with a slightly more matte gold gilding for contrast- the leaves within the matte gold are shiny gold.
Unusual urn shape
Lid is slightly domed
Closure on lid is an embossed metal gold toned band with a hinge in back and a beautiful ornate bow in front
Excellent condition, no flaws or damage, beautiful. No nicks chips cracks scratches fading or repair. No wear to gold. Lid opens/closes on a study hinge which is in perfect working order. See all pics and use zoom.Any white spots on the pattern are simply reflected camera glare and not actually on the jar.
A gorgeous trinket box, would look very nice for display anywhere andis a perfect size.
