A Well Preserved Rare Original WW2 German Military Officer's SA Black Greatcoat Overcoat,featuring double-breasted front closure and black & white braided officer's shoulder boards for SA units.Constructed of multiple pieces of heavy black leather with machine stitched reinforcements along the seams. It features a large turned-down collar that transitions into double breast flaps, large cuff sleeves. There are 11 front buttons (one top is missing). The collar is flanked on either side with officer's SA shoulder boards, fastened to the coat via magnetic pebbled buttons, measuring 25 mm (w) x 105 mm (l). At waist height on either side of the coat is a deep softly lined pocket secured by a flap without buttons. The back side shows a slit with 3 buttons and the belt secured by 2 buttons Interior of the coat features 8 snap buttons, each marked “Prym”, Coat is completely lined in light brown fine leather lining. Sleeves are lined in dark brown rayon lining. The interior also has one breast pocket per side, along with an additional deep zipped pocket hidden on the bottom right flap of the coat. The maker's tag is placed below the collar on the lining. It measures approximately 48 cm across the shoulders (seam to seam), with a sleeve length of 64 cm, and an overall length of 123 cm. This overcoat is in excellent condition, with soft leather, no tears, minor scuffing on the front closure bend part.My late husband had acquired this coat in 2004 in Georgia. I found out this from the previous owner. He has noticed my listing and wrote me:" I was Stationed in Grafenwohr and went down the Nurnberg by train on the weekends. Browsed antiquaten geschaften all over Nurnberg, Munich, Augsberg and Ingolstadt".
