WWII US Army 106th Div. POW Battle Bulge photos letters etc Sgt Richard Peterson For Sale

Rare original grouping of items from Staff Sergeant Richard Peterson of Company I 423rd Infantry Regiment 106th Infantry Division who was captured during the initial days of the Battle of the Bulge and became a POW at Stalag IX A. Included in the grouping are portraits, training photos, articles, cloth service bars, two cloth Combat Infantry Badges, telegrams, letters including several V-mail, letters passed by censors including one from a hospital after his liberation from the Stalag, a piece of the bunker he fought in during the Bulge in the Ardennes, article on his service in the Bulge, photocopy of a German photo album of the POW camp\'s German troops which was taken home by a GI and later returned to one of the German staff at the POW camp, and notification of his return to the US. All items are shown in the photos which are the best description of this group of items with many still on the scrapbook pages kept by his parents in Detroit Michigan which are glued onto the pages.
