Description
WWII-era U.S. Army Air Forces officer/pilot uniform grouping featuring an olive-drab service jacket with pilot wings, 8th Air Force shoulder insignia and officer insignia, along with a khaki military shirt, officer service cap, brown leather shoes, and loose military insignia.
The jacket is the centerpiece of the grouping and retains its attached insignia and period military appearance. The shirt has interior ink markings that appear to read approximately C/G-4753, possibly an old military laundry or identification mark. The brown leather shoes are internally marked 10 EEE and have additional numbers inside.
Also included are the loose 8th Air Force patch and additional embroidered insignia shown in the listing photos.
The grouping was found stored together in a military footlocker marked Daniel J. Wroten, Army National Guard, Canon City, Colorado. The footlocker is shown in photos only as background/provenance and is NOT included in this sale. I have not established that Daniel J. Wroten was the original WWII wearer of the uniform, so no such attribution is being made.
All pieces show age consistent with vintage military clothing and equipment. Expect stains, discoloration, surface wear, oxidation, fabric wear, leather aging, and other signs of long-term storage. Please review every photo carefully for exact condition, insignia, markings, construction, and included pieces.
