- "R. SORBY" Hand-Struck Text: The maker's name layout is visibly crooked and uneven, a hallmark of early craftsmanship before mechanical roll-press stamping. It was stamped using individual steel character dies struck by a blacksmith's hammer.
- The Kangaroo Trademark: Features the iconic Robert Sorby Kangaroo logo emblem, introduced around 1860 to celebrate their export trade.
