**Extremely Rare Bosnian War Captured Flag - Mostar, 1993**
Offered here is an exceptionally rare wartime-captured flag from the Bosnian War, taken in Mostar in 1993. The flag was once displayed on a mosque minaret in Mostar during the conflict, after which it was used to mark terrorist positions of armija bih fighters .
During fighting between HVO forces (Hrvatsko Vijeće Obrane / Croatian Defence Council) and Bosnian Army-aligned (muslim/mujahideen) formations, the flag was captured by an HVO soldier and kept as a battlefield souvenir. Since then, it has remained stored away.
Flags of this type were seen during the war alongside the official Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina flag (ARBIH / Armija Bosne i Hercegovine) and were associated with certain Muslim wartime formations, including units connected to foreign terrorist volunteer fighters who, in the years following the conflict, will be associated with other tepporist groups such as Ai-Qåeda and YSYS.
Similar variations of this flag can be seen in notable photographs from the Bosnian War, including the parade of the 7th Muslim Brigade / El Mudžahid, as well as in photographs of members of Arkan’s Tigers (Serb Volunteer Brigade - SDG / Srpska dobrovoljačka garda) during the conflict in Bijeljina, where they were photographed posing inside a mosque. This additionally makes the flag a highly historically significant piece.
The flag shows clear signs of age and wartime use, including visible sun fading, small tears, wear marks, and general handling wear. It is made from high-quality cotton material and measures approximately **170 x 108 cm**. It also has a sleeve/opening for mounting on a pole.
This is the only example of this flag currently being offered for sale anywhere. Most flags of this kind were burnt, destroyed, discarded, or lost over time, making this a unique opportunity for any serious collector of Yugoslav War, Bosnian War, or Balkan conflict\'s militaria.
