Uncut Pairs of Louisiana State Lottery Tickets for the drawing on April 12, 1887
The ticket is $1.00 “D”Class and for one tenth of the prize amount. They are printed in green ink withthe number in black in two places.The backis blue and is stamped with the date and “M.A. Dauphin New Orleans.” They arean Uncut Pair which likely means they were not sold.Each one measures 5.75” X 4.25” and in good condition (ungraded). *See Photos.
**Two former Confederate Generals (G.T. Beauregard &Jubal A. Early) were hired to oversee the drawings. Their names appear on the back of eachticket along with M.A. Dauphin, a lottery official.
