Up for sale/sale is a highly collectible and scarce 1890s-1920s era original political campaign button.
This 7/8-inch celluloid pin features a crisp black-and-white portrait of Calvin Coolidge surrounded by the text "National Coolidge College Clubs," produced for his 1924 presidential campaign.
Unlike standard, mass-produced Coolidge buttons, this specialized college student organization variant is much harder to find and highly sought after by presidential memorabilia enthusiasts.
Condition Details:
Front: The celluloid remains bright and intact with great clarity, minimal surface wear, and excellent contrast on the portrait.
Reverse: Features the highly coveted, original Whitehead & Hoag Co. (Newark, N.J.) back paper insert completely intact. The metal rim and pinback show minor, age-appropriate oxidation/tarnish as pictured, but the mechanism functions perfectly.
