Original vintage late 1950s Vietnam War era men’s US Army / USMC black leather cap-toe combat boots.
• Contractor: Stamped with official military manufacturer code [NC] on upper shaft (National Casket Co. Leather Goods Division / North Carolina Footwear Contractors, awarded Quartermaster contracts during the Cold War era for their large-scale industrial leatherworking machinery)
• Outsoles: Plymouth Rubber Co Inc. "Slipknot" diamond tread outsoles (Canton, Mass.)

• Stamped Exterior Date: September 1958 (9 W [NC] 9-58)
• Stamped Interior: Size & contract number (9 W 5189) stamped into interior leather lining
• Laces: Original black laces in place with very light wear
Condition
The leather is very supple throughout with a deep shine, indicating very minimal light wear overall. On the left boot toe cap area, there are a few minor spots of light surface leather loss/scuffs. Soles, heels, and interior leather linings show minimal wear. Very clean, solid, and wearable pair.
