The product is a vintage Montblanc Lever Pen in burgundy, manufactured in West Germany during the 1980s. (*) It features gold trim and is not personalized. This collectible ballpoint pen is a unique and classic piece that would be a great addition to any pen enthusiast\'s collection, showcasing the elegance and craftsmanship of Montblanc pens from that era.
(*) I purchased this pen during the late 1980\'s in the jewelry department at Service Merchandise. Service Merchandise is described as a hybrid between a catalog and department store. They featured a large jewelry department in the center of the store and sold a variety of items from fishing poles, electronics to pots and pans. Service Merchandise officially closed all remaining stores in the early 2000\'s.
This pen does not come with a box or papers and the ink has dried up. Using a jewelers loop, there are hair like scratches on the surface, but nothing noticeable with the naked eye. The loop is the only way to see the imprint: Montblanc W. Germany located on the bottom gold band below the lever. The lever works. The ink refill is inside the pen, but is dried up.
