NOW THIS IS COOL!Here is a super cool 40+ YEAR OLD Murray \"X-16R\" MINI RACER BMX bike with 16\" wheels. BMX bikes are super cool! The serial number is M03006960ON HTE RH dropout and J2964007 on hte LH dropout. The frame seat tube decal is dated April 1983! (right in the era of hot old school BMX stuff)
*The bike features; a cool factory chrome frame and forks with original decals. (the seat tube decal is dated 04-83) Check out the cool V-handlebars, yellow seat, frame pads, and more! Includes the attached \"California Lite\" pads as well as the X16R pad. (X16 Pad only holds in place with one snap but is included)
When I was young, these were popular. You almost NEVER see them today! These bikes are cool as they were made in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, USA! I got this one exactly like you see it! This is a super cool bike a young one can have enjoy without breaking the bank OR would be a really cool unique bike to put on display in your collection! (these 16\" bikes simply do not come up for sale) The bike appears to be basically all original parts. (see pics and be your own expert)
BMX bikes are getting more popular! They make a good investment that will only go UP in value. Most were abused and throw away back in the day and are getting much harder to find now! They will only be worth more money in the future! You will LOVE this bike!
I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. Comes as you see it with parts shown.
*This one has chrome rims front and rear with coaster style brakes with a Suntour hub. (pedal backwards to stop) The tires are vintage 16x1.75\" and do hold air!
*The distance from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat post tube is approx 14\".
*This is that unique era of Huffy Pro Thunder and the old school Murray TRX bikes people like. It HAS THE LOOK but not the super high price of some of the old bike shop bikes. Great for display in your shop, coffee house, 80s theme restaurant etc.
*NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. The paint is original but has chips scratches etc. (see pics) Chrome is shiny but not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) Has some weird hand grips and the chainguard is painted yellow. The chrome on the rear wheel has pits age etc. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
