Item up for sale is a phenomenal antique metal hinged pencil case depicting Jackie Coogan on the lid. Coogan was one of the earliest child mega stars of Hollywood having found fame staring with Charlie Chaplin. Coogan would end up losing most of his childhood fortune to his parents with his circumstances being used as the catalyst to create many of the modern laws pertaining to how child stars are handled in Hollywood.Later in his career he would accept the role of Uncle Fester in the Addams Family TV show which is how most would know him today. Case exhibits some finish and paint wear consistent with age and use. Underside of the case exhibits some denting from age and use with metal showing no cracks or breaks. Non painted metal all shows patina consistent with age.
