This petite, highly collectible piece dates to 1862-1872, featuring a rare pre-1873 uppercase impressed "MINTON" factory mark on the base alongside an unidentified year cypher and a hand-painted artist mark "R".The vase is decorated in a striking turquoise-blue glaze —reminiscent of the highly prized French Bleu Céleste— and is beautifully adorned with a vibrant, hand-painted botanical frieze of wild pink and white roses nestled among detailed green foliage.Condition Report:• Porcelain & Glaze: Excellent antique condition. The turquoise body retains a beautiful high-gloss luster with no chips, cracks, structural hairlines, or restoration. Age-related crazing visible, consistent with 19th-century soft-paste porcelain.• Gilding (Gold): Outstanding condition. The bright, heavy gold gilding on both scroll handles, the flared rim, and the pedestal base remains exceptionally vibrant with virtually no thinning, rubbing, or wear down to the white porcelain core.• Enamel Detail: The handles and base rim feature hand-applied black enamel "jeweled" dot accents typical of Minton's high-end Victorian wares. As is entirely standard for these raised overglaze nodules, there is some expected historic flaking/loss to the black dots (as captured in the close-up photos). The underlying gold beneath them remains beautifully intact.A wonderful, cabinet-sized example of early Minton craftsmanship that displays magnificently.
