Antique Studio Photo Portrait of \"Chester Joel Henry,\" Warren, PA For Sale

Very clear, crisp matted B/W portrait image of young boy seated in rattan chair in photographer\'s studio (\"Savage,\" Warren, PA). Subject is identified in ink inscription on reverse as \"Chester Joel Henry.\" According to research, Chester J. Henry was born in 1900 in Youngsville, Warren County, and died in 1980. He is buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover, York County, PA. His parents were Charles Lewis Henry and Orvaline Jane Miller. Chester graduated from the local high school in 1918, and married Jennie Light. His World War II-era draft card indicates that he grew to be 5\' 11 1/2\" and 193 pounds. At that time he was employed by the Penns. RR. By the 1950 census, Chester and his wife were living in Lower Merion Twp., Montgomery County, where he was employed as a civil engineer. Mat is 7 3/4 x 6\"; image itself is 5 3/4 x 4\". V. good condition with minor corner scuffs and a couple of spots of foxing at top of image. Photograph comes enclosed in a clear polyester sleeve within an acid-free archival envelope.
