Burlington Route light cardstock Poster - Victory Garden 14\" x 11\". Estate find. It seems to be rather unusual. According to internet sources, some Railroads did offer parts of their rights of ways for \"Victory Gardens\" during WWII. A few still survive as historical places. Victory Gardens throughout the U.S. accounted for about 40 percent of the produce America was able to grow during the war . These gardens saved on produce shipping too - leaving more railspace free to meet the demands of military related shipping. Winning the War was truly a nationwide effort in America.
