A big, heavy tribute to the U-2 and the pilots who flew her alone at the edge of the sky. The motto around the rim says it the way the community does: ALONE • UNARMED • UNAFRAID.
Obverse (full color): a U-2 in black mounted on its memorial display pedestal under a gold-streaked sky, the motto arced across the top and ARTICLE 128 at the base, flanked by stars.
Reverse (silver on black): CYGNUS — the swan of the Northern Cross picked out in silver relief, its stars joined by red lines, the constellation the U-2\'s high-flying world is named for.
