Columbus PA RPPC Trolley on Truss Bridge Trolley/Interurban Antique Postcard: $35.00
Antique RPPC – Trolley on Truss Bridge, Columbus, Pennsylvania Real photo postcard of an electric trolley car crossing a steel truss bridge, with the motorman standing in the open front doorway. The view looks along the length of the bridge through its lattice railings and overhead bracing, with the trolley wire strung above the car and a headlight mounted on the dash. Below and beyond the bridge, the scene opens onto a valley with a road, scattered buildings, and bare trees. Columbus was served by the Corry & Columbus trolley line, which began running in 1906 and operated until buses replaced the streetcars in 1924. Pencil notations on the back read "Warren Co." and "Columbus Pa.," and the card carries a handwritten ink inscription "To Paul from" followed by the sender's name. Velox stamp box with diamonds in the corners, circa 1907–1914. Unposted. A strong piece for collectors of Columbus and Warren County, Pennsylvania topographical postcards, small-town Pennsylvania trolley lines, or early railway bridge views.
