VERY RARE 1/6 PLATE TINTYPE - SCHLITZ BEER AD - WHITE FISH BAY, WI. - FAUX BEER MUGS - ORIGINAL CARTOUCHE SLEEVE - If you are from the White Fish Bay area, you will love this original tintype promoting the Schlitz Beer Company circa 1890\'s. In this hilarious sixth plate tintype the photographer captured two crazy couples hamming it up with fake frothy beer mugs in their hands. The painted sign at the top reads, \"Schlitz Park Milwaukee.\" Several American Flags are also visible behind them and the two ladies also hold folding paper fans. I am assuming they were enjoying a day at the park during the warm months of the year. My favorite part of this tintype is all of their joyous expressions and animated poses. I\'ll drink to that!!! The original cartouche paper sleeve has the photographer\'s stamp which confirms his name and business location. The sixth plate image contains superb contrast, wonderful tonal range and excellent sharpness. The tintype is in amazing antique condition with only slight surface wear consistent with age.
