A 144-page John Dickinson "Black n' Red" brand ruled spiral notebook owned by and filled in with writing by John J. Balistrieri (1948-2024), a son of Frank Balistrieri (1918-1993) and a member of the Balistrieri family noted in the history of organized crime in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a family whose story is partly told in the 1995 Martin Scorsese film Casino.
This notebook's entries, dated from December 6, 2004, to April 3, 2005, and consist entirely of John Balistrieri's notes on his readings in the history of religion in medieval Europe. The readings seem to be from volume 4, The Age of Faith, from Will and Ariel Durant's series The Story of Civilization.Nearly all the pages are filled with writing, except for twelve blank pages in back.
Just so you know: there is no personal, incriminating, or scandalous material in this notebook. It is nearly all about religion, history, and culture. This item also does not come with certification of its provenance, and Balistrieri did not sign his name to it, but a look at other Balistrieri items I have listed will show you other items that carry their own verification, such as stamps and signatures, as well as samples of his handwriting that do include his name. This is part of a collection of unique and authentic Balistrieri memorabilia listed on this account.
