BATTERIES
Install 2 AA batteries by unscrewing the knob in the base of the tailcap. The flashlight body shows the polarity on the outside of the flashlight body (+). The tailcap is tethered to the bottom of the flashlight and does not need to be completely removed. Always use fresh batteries prior to a mission.
Note: Waterproof seal on battery compartment requires the door to be only finger tight. Do not over-tighten battery compartment door.
USING THE LIGHT
The integrated switch/selector is located on the side of the flashlight’s adjustable head. The center push-button on/off switch operates with a single click for low power, fast double-click for flash (120 beats per minute), or push and hold to cycle through four LED intensities. The selector knob features a raised indicator for IR indication. Pull the knob outward and rotate to select LED color. See table for model-specific operation.
Note: The US Military issue model (MIL) is stamped with “IR SAFE,” on the flashlight body. Store the Sidewinder® with the raised indicator of the selector knob in the “IR SAFE” position to avoid accidental IR emission. The IR is only visible when using night vision devices.
The MOLLE clip can be mounted to either side of the flashlight body and a lanyard hole is included in the tailcap
