Great little archive of early California Anti- Chinese Emphera.
Up for sale is a lot of (3) early 1890\'s California business cards.
Lot of (3) \" The Capital Restaurant located at 321 J Street in Sacramento California.
All three business cards, are the same on the front side.
One card, the earlier variant, is stamped in blue ink on the reverse side and it says:
\"WHITE HELP EMPLOYED.
\" NO CHINESE\"
This attitude, and view, of early Chinese workers, was reinforced by the Chinese Exclusion act of 1882.
And spread by labor unions in this Era.
The Two other cards / later variants display the same fronts on the cards, while the reverse side shows various locations for fire boxes throughout the city of San Francisco.
Using AI, it was determined that these later cards date to 1895.
All three cards are in great condition.
Having all three of these cards, will make for a great framed display,
as a part of California\'s early Anti- Chinese history.
***This is surely- a one of a kind item***
