This substantial specimen is a captivating blend of deep forest greens, mossy jade tones, warm coppery reds, burnt orange, and chocolate browns. Intricate ribbons of color twist and sweep across the surface, creating dramatic curves and layered patterns reminiscent of ancient wood grain frozen in stone.
The contrasting textures are equally fascinating. Smooth, almost glassy areas of green chalcedony catch the light alongside rugged, weathered surfaces, natural crevices, and beautifully defined woody structures. When wet, the colors become especially vibrant, revealing the remarkable depth and complexity of the mineralization.
