1949 Royal Air Force (RAF) Manual Pilot and Navigator Training Notes.Packed with information and some great images.Belonged to well known AVRO VULCAN display pilot and QFI Squadron Leader Joe L’Estrange dating back to when he was a Pilot Officer. Name in pen on the front cover. See photos for details.A really interesting insight into the RAF in the 1940’s. It covers a large range of topics including a history of the development of aviation in England up to 1914, RAF laws and rules, meteorology, engines, the role of Bomber Command and air defence, discipline and moral and much more.In good condition showing signs of wear that you would expect considering its age, please note there are a small number of loose leaves where the holes have worn through with age but all the pages are there.Fascinating to think where this manual has travelled to around the world. A real collector piece.
